How and what we offer

WHAT WE DO

Amani Kenya initiative was formed in 29th January 2017 by seventeen Kenyans who are faithful from different regions and religious background. This organization came  after a series of meetings and discussion with different youth groups, religious organizations and other stakeholders in peace missions in Kenya.

OUR MAIN FUNCTIONS

Amani Kenya Youth Empowerment Organization (AKYEO) purpose to form a strategic, transformed and united team that will be able to work together and be a voice of reason in our nation and beyond.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Due to past perceived clashes before, during and after election swayed by personal preferences, media pressure and or party loyalty have posed this nation into division hence insecurity. To address this problem Amani Kenya Youth Empowerment Organization (AKYEO) has come up with a project to advocate a positive change on how  we should choose our leaders calmly. We believe God gives His people the supernatural wisdom they need to direct their nation into His purposes.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Advocate for peaceful co-existence among families, tribes, races, religions and regions in our nation and beyond, working towards economic stability of our Nation and advocate for good and transparency governance.

THEMATIC AREAS

Peace and conflict resolution

Peace and conflict resolutionPromote peace, conflict resolution and harmony through participatory research, training and voluntary humanitarian services. AKYEO Provides knowledge and skill of peace building and conflict transformation to the organizations and groups so that they could bring the multiplier effect in peace building process.

Awareness campaigns

Awareness campaignsRaise awareness about interfaith harmony and peace themes among people of different faiths so that they can undertake initiative for multicultural coexistence and cooperation by improving the advocacy skills of local communities in target Districts to ensure peace building policies and practices contribute to non-violent relations within communities this is achieved by providing information material, encourage media involvement and hold events that will educate the community on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and sexual health.
We also provide opportunities for people with HIV to live healthy lives by broadening their perspectives on the possibilities available to them and provide them with material support if appropriate.

Support community based initiatives

Support community based initiatives AKYEO is committed to improving community services, and hands- on skills training to help them grow into responsible citizens through encouragement and support of community based initiatives to improve access to clean water and other basic human needs
The organization has been actively engaged by various groups to assist in mentoring, promoting and foster good corporate relationship with other organizations by availing youth and graduates to numerous employment and recruitment opportunities.
Promote decision making to the youth by helping them to realise the consequences of their actions, explore a range of options to enable them.
Raise, secure and utilize funds for the attainment of any or all objects of the Organization, and to do such other things that as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of these objectives
Enter into any arrangement with any governments or authorities that may seem conducive to the Organization’s objectives or any of them, and to obtain from such government or authority any rights, privileges and concessions which the Organization may think desirable to obtain.
Apply to any governments or authority, public bodies, corporations, companies or persons for and to accept grants or gifts of money and of any moveable or immovable property, donations, gifts subscriptions and other assistance with a view to promoting the objects of the Organization and, in taking of any gift or property to take the same subject to any special trust which may be prescribed by the donor thereof.
